Darlington are seeking an experienced Supervising Fostering Social Worker to support with completion of Form F and Form C assessments and supervision of foster carers.
As a Social Worker within the Fostering Team, you will:
Complete Form F and Form C assessments
Follow a flexible structure whilst supporting our foster carers
Have an opportunity to support the recruitment of foster carers through recruitment events, initial home visits, undertaking form F assessments and connected persons/ kinship assessments
Working in the Fostering and Supported Lodgings team involves working closely with the social workers from Children and Families' Teams
Hold a caseload of foster carers and connected carers, offering monthly supervision, and completing annual foster carer reviews
Taking part in a duty Rota - dealing with placement requests and undertaking pre-placement meetings
Work in the team includes contributing to Special Guardianship support plans, and planning for permanence where appropriateAs a Social Worker within the Fostering Team, you are required to:
Hold a Social Work England registration
Be eligible to work in the UK
Hold a full UK license
Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent
