Ventro are looking for an Quantity Surveyor to join our team, you will need to be driven, organised and an excellent communicator.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will:

* Coordinate project variations/upsells by upgrading specifications, or other extras with a view to increasing GP.

* Ensuring a clear written communication trail is established for each project variation

* Take responsibility for maintaining and improving GP1 and GP2 for assigned projects, involving:

* Cost Control: -5% saving off estimate

* Uplifts:20% from original Value

* Act as an escalation point and make commercial decisions including labour issues and client disputes within set limits

* Proactively avoid, and resolve contractual disputes

* Maintain Positive Cash Flow throughout the project by assisting in credit control and issuing of payment notices

* Report on Project GP1, GP2 weekly, as well as WIP monthly.

* Negotiate and secure subcontractor prices, and secure/sign subcontracts

* Approve Subcontractor Payments

* Create & Send monthly valuations and invoices to clients

To be successful as a Quantity Surveyor you will need:

* Experience in a similar role – desired but no essential

* Strong Commercial Awareness

* Intuitive and able to think on feet

* Management Capabilities

* Strong Negotiation Skills

* Assertive

* Able to forecast and analyse financial data per project

* Attention to Detail
