Direct Response Employment Services are actively recruiting for a general manager with travel industry experience to join our clients team in Trowbridge.
As a general manager you will be responsible for the day to day managing of the office, working towards motivating a team of consultants to hit and exceed targets while maintaining the highest customer service possible.
Key duties:
* work with the director to implement company strategy within the branch.
* Attend selected supplier events to take advantage of commercial opportunities for the business.
* Ensure brochures are stocked and ordered and ensure the store is always clean and presentable.
* Ensure social media channels are regularly updated with offers and store communication.
* develop relationships with suppliers to foster and commercial opportunities.
* Provide activity and sales summary to the operations director.
* Interview and recruit staff as required for the delivery of company objectives.
* Look for and implement marketing strategies to promote business levels.
* Preparing staff Rota's in accordance with the needs of the business.
* Deliver a full booking experience providing an outstanding high level of customer service.
* Creating inspiring travel itineraries in a friendly and professional manner.
* capture a detailed brief outlining client requirements.
* Provide direction for the team and encourage and facilitate a positive culture.
To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience working as a manager and have knowledge within the travel / leisure industry.
On offer is a starting salary of £28,000 - £30,000 plus bonus / commission for meeting set targets.
The role involves working Monday to Friday with Saturdays worked on a Rota basis.
