We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients award-winning data centre design consultancy in London on a permanent basis. **Job Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design electrical systems for data centre projects
- Develop electrical design concepts, calculations, and specifications
- Perform load calculations, power distribution design, and equipment selection
- Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using AutoCAD or other design software
- Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical infrastructure and gather necessary information for design
- Participate in design reviews and present design solutions to clients and project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project implementation
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during construction and commissioning phases
- Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical design for data centres
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the data centre industry
- Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ETAP
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and equipment selection
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes, including IEC, ANSI, and BS
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
