QUALITY INSPECTOR - GOODS IN

Carbon60 are recruiting for a quality inspector - goods in to work with a major Electronics Manufacturing Service company with 36 years' experience of producing Electronics from 3 manufacturing facilities of modern production space. The company are involved with complete product build, ready tested and delivered to the end user.
This Quality Inspector is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is someone who has demonstratable experience in a manufacturing/ engineering environment but ideally within the electronics manufacturing sector.
Your responsibilities:

As a quality inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring parts passing through quality control are inspected and handled in accordance with the companies operating standards.

Carry out good's inward inspection for bespoke component parts entering the company.
Carry out goods inward inspection using a variety of tools such as X-ray Machines.
To identify and record any non-conformances to spec requirements by raising paperwork and segregating any suspect goods.
Other general goods inward inspection duties such as identifying and processing expired materials, reporting progress regularly, investigation into customer returns as well as other duties.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

Demonstratable experience in a manufacturing/ engineering environment, ideally within the electronics manufacturing sector.
Experience reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
Computer literate, experience with Microsoft applications. ERP or MRP software's are advantageous
Use of handheld metrology instruments such as Vernier Callipers, Micrometres and Slip GaugesMonday - Thursday 08:30-17:000 & 08:30-15:30 on a Friday.

£24,500 - £27,300 per annum
