Eco Personnel (UK) Ltd is currently looking to recruit a Group HSQE Manager for their Mansfield based client. Generally office based, the role will involve some travel to their northern office and also provide the potential for some remote working, upon successful completion of an agreed probation period.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety, Quality, Sustainability and the Environment with respect to Legislation, Company Policy, Management System and Client requirements, thereby ensuring business risks are prevented and mitigated.
Responsibilities:
• Provide HSQE advice, guidance and support to Project Team's and other departments within the business
• Together with the rest of the HSQE team be a focal point on all HSQE matters ensuring safe and efficient execution of all company operations.
• Monitoring of ongoing operations to ensure compliance with internal processes, relevant statutory requirements and associated standards.
• Monitor HSQE performance, identifying trends and develop proactive or reactive safety initiatives
* Maintenance of the Group HSQE Management System which is clearly aligned to the context of the organisation ensuring that all process and procedures are fit for purpose in accordance with stated policies and objectives
• Participate in the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment process.
* Liaising with and building relationship with Client HSE Reps and site staff as required
• Participating in projects to support our sustainability and decarbonisation goals
* Assisting in the production of company procedures, policies and guidance in relation to environmental concerns, sustainability efforts and reduction targets
* Facilitating implementation of cost efficient and environmentally friendly solutions
* Support the promotion of HSQE initiatives and campaigns to enhance the HSQE culture and promotion of specific HSQE issues
• Carry out corporate and project HSQE audits / Site Visits, preparation of audit schedules and terms of reference where relevant, ensuring recording of audit / Inspection and follow up to ensure effective closure of findings identified.
* Supporting incident investigations and undertaking the appropriate reporting requirements.
Skills and Experience
Essential
* Recognised HSE qualification (NEBOSH NGC or NEBOSH Construction or equivalent)
* Experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability methodologies
* Professional membership of environmental management body such as IEMA
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
• Incident Investigation qualification
* Trained and competent Internal Auditor
• Fully conversant in HSE Management Systems
• The ability to promote a positive attitude towards HSQE risk management, with an ability to influence safety behaviours at all levels within an organisation.
• Competent in MS Office
• Experience of delivering HSQE training and Behavioural Based Safety training.
• Experience in CDM
* High degree of initiative and energy with a can-do attitude, flexibility, teamwork and attention to detail.
* Independent and self-motivated and able to work effectively in both the office environment and remotely.
Reward
Base salary £49K - £52K per annum
Car allowance (which can be added to salary) £5,500
Timekeeping and attendance bonus £750
Plus standard pension contribution at 3% of base salary.
Salary review on completion of 12 months successful employment.
