Engineering & Warehouse Operative – SAP / Stores.

£12.90 per hour + Overtime at Enhanced Rates + Bonus – Minimum 6 Month Contract – Based Near Peterborough

5D Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a leading bespoke machinery manufacture.  Their products are predominately used in the power generation and automotive sectors. 

Due to a sustained period of growth, and a commitment to introducing new products and to drive efficiency within the current assembly operation we are looking to recruit an Engineering & Warehouse Operative, who will be responsible for inputting the relevant data into the SAP system.

This role is initially offered on a minimum 6 month contract, with the real possibility that this will be extended well beyond. Overtime is available and paid at premium rates.
The day to day will vary depending on the time of day or week, with the role focusing on either Engineering Stores or inputting data into the SAP system.

What the role will involve for the Engineering & Warehouse Operative:
• Using the reach truck to load and unload lorries, and to get parts or components from the store’s locations.
• Working from the pick list to ascertain parts and components.
• Assist the fitters with lifting components when needed.
• Checking deliveries against the delivery notes.
• Putting deliveries away in the correct locations.
• Wrapping and packing any equipment for delivery and helping load the lorries.
• The SAP part of the role will include, inputting delivery information, booking out components and working as a liaison between stores and the office.

Requirements

What we are looking for in the Engineering & Warehouse Operative:
• Engineering stores or Warehouse experience.
• MRP Experience – ideally with SAP – but this is not essential.
• Experience operating a reach truck.
