Demi chef de partie / Grill chef required in required in Essex for a fresh food Restaurant and Pub with a busy outside area. This role is for the BBQ area in the spring and summer and supporting inside in the winter months. accommodation options can be arranged if relocating. This is a perfect position for a career chef who wants to be part of the journey within this establishment and you will take responsibility for the outside part of the operation and growing the bbq part of the business. The head chef and sous chef are focused on the restaurant and inside part. salary bracket is between 26-28k with accommodation options/support for the right person if relocating.
The role
We are looking for a line chef or demi chef de parties to run the bbq grill for the outside area of this venue. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of launching this new part of the business. This will be really exciting to create the burgers for the bbq, you will use butcher sausages and high end meats for the bbq. you will prep this area and cook to order. in the wet winter months you will be working inside with the restaurant team and then the nice spring and summer running your own area. This is a hands on role as is a grill line chef level or demi chef de partie level.
Experience
We are looking for an organised and reliable grill chef / live in / demi chef de partie. you will be able to work outside on your own, prep the food required for the bbq inside and then move outside to cook in the grounds. you will have good knowledge of food hygiene and grill cooking.
