Senior / Lead Product Owner
Our trusted partner, a financial services corporation that is currently embarking on a digital transformation campaign is recruiting a Senior / Lead Product Owner who has strong capabilities in digital product/portfolio management to join a new team with a core focus on digital transformation and modernisation. This is an exciting position, where the chosen candidate will have autonomy, regularly engaging with C-Suite members of staff and senior stakeholders to deliver digital technology change during a pivotal period in our client's history.
Our client is looking to pay a basic salary of £70,000 to £90,000 + 25% bonus + 30 days holiday + excellent corporate benefits to be based in Wolverhampton or Chatham x 3 PW.
Core responsibilities:
Understand customer and market needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
Define, prioritise, and ensure clear communication of requirements to deliver product features using EPICS and user stories
Work closely with the organisation and SMEs to develop and execute the company’s desired product technology outcomes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, design, customer service and 2nd Line of Defence to ensure successful delivery of products and features
Stay current on new technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the company's products.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to the supporting teams to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to inform the development of new products and the enhancement of existing ones.
Experience requirements
Strong experience leading/overseeing a product function comprised of cross-functional engineers, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts is must have
Recent experience with digital product environments preferably within Azure is a must-have
Strong capabilities in stakeholder management / managing third-party suppliers is a must-have
Must have a strong understanding of Agile / SAFe Agile is a must
Domain industry experience within financial services or regulated environments is nice to have
Any experience of lending or savings system procedures would be fantastic.
