Stock Controller

SPAR is a worldwide organisation and is one of the leading companies in food retail chain around the globe, having more than 13,500 stores in over 48 countries on four continents. Due to the ongoing business growth, Malta Retailing Limited, operators of SPAR Malta is currently seeking to recruit a Stock Controller to form part of our dynamic team.

The selected candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, duties include but not limited to:

Responsibilities

Able to use confidently inventory system;

Providing support to internal customers in relation to stock issues;

Liaise with Purchasing Department for any discrepancies in relation to the original invoice in incoming consignments;

Enter in stock new consignment as per ‘goods in received’ document;

Provide the required support to Sales Operations as in product levels;

Check stock levels physically in warehouse/stores to confirm whether quantities tally with the ones on the system;

Provide the CFO with the required information on products close to the expiry date;

Check and amend levels in inventory system of any items returned from retail outlets;

Perform stock adjustments with the stipulated timeframe of any discrepancies;

Plan, organize and implement full stock takes;

Education and requirements

General good standard of education up to Secondary level;

Solid knowledge and experience in the Food Industry business;

Strong command of Microsoft Office tools especially in Word and Excel;

Experience with a ‘help desk’ environment, having had direct contact with clients will be considered an asset;

Ability to maintain a healthy rapport with internal customers and to work under constant pressure;

Computer literate with a strong command of Microsoft Office tools especially in Word and Excel;

Self-motivated, well-organized, good communication and inter-personal skills;

Possess a high work ethic.
