Head Bartender

Meeting Point Hotel Management (Malta) Ltd. operates a number of hotels in Malta under the brand name of LABRANDA Hotels and Resorts and is seeking to recruit Head Bartender on a Full-Time basis.

Duties include, but will not be limited to:

• Set clear objectives and targets for bars outlets;
• Determine staff needs and assist the HR Department in recruiting staff;
• Monitor the performance of staff and actively participate in performance review;
• Assess development needs and train and coach staff;
• Delegate duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources;
• Set and monitor quality and service standards for staff;
• Communicate company policy, standards and procedures to staff;
• Direct and manage staff members to meet standards and objectives;
• Ensure staff operate within company policies;
• Organize and adjust staff rotas and schedules in accordance with available resources and labour regulations;
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards;

The selected candidate must have:

• Completed Secondary Level of Education
• Food Handling License A or B
• 3 years experience in the hospitality industry or at least 3 years experience in a similar role is an asset
• Extensive knowledge of foreign and local alcoholic beverages
• Strong Operational/Technical Knowledge
• Knowledge of written and spoken English Language
• Knowledge of the German Language is an asset
