Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

The Role:

The cybersecurity engineer (CSE) is directly engaged with the development of end-to-end connected vehicle solutions. The CSE works within the systems engineering function ensuring all aspects of the customer requirements are implemented and tested according to ISO21434.

Dimension of function:

Shall be part of the Cybersecurity team and report to Cybersecurity domain manager.

Shall be customer/supplier and technical team interface.

Area of Responsibility:

· Plans and implements the cybersecurity activities, including the defined tailoring

· Performs appropriate risk assessment and countermeasures for the given project.

· Continuously analyses and monitors vulnerabilities and risks within the project across the phases.

· Creates a cybersecurity case that provides the argument for the achieved degree of cybersecurity.

· Perform a cybersecurity assessment that judges the achieved degree of cybersecurity.

· Drives feature development and provides technical support for hardware and software teams, eg:

· HSM Management

· Authenticated Boot

· SOK - Secure On-board Communication

· SFD - Secure diagnostics- token-based authentication, encrypted communications/diags

· Secure ECU and Microcontroller

Knowledge / Experience:

· Bachelor/Master/PhD in Information Security/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Computer Science.

· Previously worked with CAN BUS and Calibration / Diagnostics Software

· Knowledge of ISO21434, ISO26262 and ASIL

· Practical experience in information security management as well knowledge in relevant norms and standards.

· Intensive knowledge of Europe/American Cyber Security law.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work independently, take ownership of project deliverables, go above and beyond the task at hand

· Familiarity with Secure Coding practices, processes and methods

· Penetration testing and tools experience

· Certifications such as CISSP, CEH or SANS GMOB/GPEN
