Responsibilities
We’re currently seeking highly motivated and improvement-oriented Senior Forging Engineer at our company's Fastening Systems (HFS) group; a business unit within the company, a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. The Company’s primary businesses focus on jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems and titanium structural parts necessary for mission-critical performance and efficiency in aerospace and defense applications, as well as forged wheels for commercial transportation. The company is transforming the next phase of more fuel-efficient, quieter aerospace engines and sustainable ground transportation. Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Director of New Product Development, the Sr. Forging Engineer will partner with manufacturing and research engineers to solve critical forming challenges related to the development of new products and development of improved forging processes for existing products. 
As part of a hardworking and accomplished team, you will be responsible for development of novel forging process for new products and improved forging processes for existing products.
Will confer with manufacturing and research personnel to clarify requirement related to performance, cost and cycle time.
Communicates clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens intently to others and seeks clarification.
Writes technical documents clearly and accurately; Transfers technical data into meaningful written documents that can be understood by all levels of the organization.
Coordinates and analyses experiment to validate process and uses statistical methods. 
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to design tooling and conduct forging simulations. 
Promote compliance and enhancement of all EHS rules and regulations, standards, and instructions.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Versed in the use of forming simulation software to digitally design and validate metal forming steps with speed and accuracy to evaluate feasibility, formability and thermal effects.
Knowledge in non-linear mechanics and mechanical metallurgy to design, analyze and optimize process paths.
Broad knowledge of forging processes and experience with Ni-based alloys and Titanium-based alloys used in the aerospace industry.
Expertise in at least one of the following processes: Closed die forging, Hot die forging, Rolling and associated processes (Heat Treat, NDE, etc.)
Versed in the use of information technologies at all stages of development (on-line literature search, data processing, written communication, and presentations) and other contemporary methods together with a range of approaches.
B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering, or related field
At least 8+ years of materials and processes engineering experience directly related to aerospace flight programs (level commensurate with experience).
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
