The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill an SVP – Credit Administrator role in the Dallas, TX area. The successful candidate will oversee the Loan Operations Department with direct management of the VP of Loan Operations.
The position includes a generous salary of up to $150K and an excellent benefits package.
SVP – Credit Administrator responsibilities include:
Booking loans to the core, preparation, and distribution of loan statements, application of loan payments, internal loan document preparation, loan fundings, exception tracking, appraisal administration, and collateral administration.
Overseeing the implementation of and serving as the lead administrator for a bank-wide loan origination system, should the Bank decide to adopt a platform.
Overseeing regulatory exam preparation and serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory exams on all lending matters.
Working in coordination with the Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations with respect to lending.
Performing portfolio-level analytics and stress testing to inform management of risks within the loan portfolio including concentration risk and interest rate risk.
Preparing and presenting relevant findings to management and the Board of Directors with recommendation for risk management strategies.
Working in coordination with the CFO in preparation of the quarterly ALLL Report.
Ensuring that financial spreads and analyses, collateral analyses, and all other components of the underwriting process adequately address credit risks and are presented in an effective manner to all appropriate audiences (approver, auditor, examiner, loan operations, etc.).
Serving as the primary point of quality control on credit underwriting ensuring that the underwriting process is efficient and effective.
Ensuring the loan policy adequately addresses the banks credit culture and any exceptions to it are properly documented and tracked.
Tracking any changes that need to be made throughout the year and presenting annually to the Board of Directors for approval.
Managing outsourced loan review audits.
Working in coordination with the Compliance Officer and CFO on all internal control audits and financial statement audits as they relate to loan operations.
Hiring and development of analysts will be done in partnership with and oversight from the President as the Credit Analyst role is intended to develop into Relationship Managers.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, economics, or finance with an emphasis in accounting is preferred. Other business degrees are acceptable with comparable experience. Completion of a formal credit training program is preferred.
Five or more years of experience in credit underwriting and analysis.
Understanding loan structures, collateral documentation, and bank regulations and compliance is required.
Knowledgeable about basic consumer and commercial deposit, credit, and treasury management products.
Experience in loan portfolio risk management, loan operations, loan policy, ALLL analysis, bank examinations, and managing people is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal people skills with the ability to act in a professional, trust-building, relational manner.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
