POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a Structural Engineer to support the firms progressive and dynamic civil and environmental engineering team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
Write and edit structural specifications
Select procedures and materials, and their respective sizes
Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project
Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various agencies for code compliance
Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule
Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
3-6+ years of post graduate professional experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Structural analysis and design skills
Solid professional structural engineering experience related to a variety of projects and industries
Experience preparing, reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Staad Pro etc
DESIRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
PE/SE registration is highly preferred, or the intention to complete registration
