IT Helpdesk Technician (Temporary - 6 Month Contract to Hire)
Location: Knoxville, TN (On-site)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Position Type: Temporary (6 Month Contract to Hire)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated IT Helpdesk Technician for a 6-month contract to hire position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch IT support to our staff, ensuring smooth technical operations. This role requires a solid understanding of Windows environments and experience with Office 365 user setup and password management.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows computer systems and peripherals.
Assist with Office 365 user setup and password management.
Maintain accurate records of support requests, issues, and resolutions using the helpdesk ticketing system.
Follow up with end-users to ensure issues are fully resolved and provide excellent customer service.
Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of experience as an IT Helpdesk Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Experience with Office 365 user setup and password management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
CompTIA A+ or similar certification.
Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
