About the Role
The Shift Manager Front Office is responsible for directly overseeing the front office operations on an assigned shift.
Position Responsibilities
Assists the Manager Front Office in hiring, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating and coaching of employees
Resolves customer complaints in a manner which promotes positive customer relations
Provides guidance and supervision to supervisors and representatives to ensure courteous guest service
Ensures the front desk is running smoothly and efficiently on an assigned shift
Evaluates and adjusts complimentary dollars issued in order to maintain customer profitability
Maintains communication between various hotel/casino departments and the front desk to ensure prompt and courteous check in/check out of hotel guests
This position issues comps but does not comp to the level which requires a casino key employee license in accordance with NJ CASINO CONTROL ACT & COMMISSION REGULATIONS
Essential Functions
Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise & stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, & flexible shifts/hours
Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds
Requirements
Computer related experience desired including LMS and ACSC
Customer service experience is required
Three to five years’ experience in a high volume hotel
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
