Job Description: CVICU Nurse
Summary
We are seeking a skilled CVICU Nurse for a 13-week contract in New Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular intensive care and be proficient in handling fresh open heart cases.
Job Details
Hourly Rate: $42.28
Weekly Stipend: $1309.00 (Includes $483.00 for meals and $826.00 for lodging)
Gross Weekly Pay: $2831.08
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: CVICU
Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Facility Location: New Brunswick, NJ 08903
Required Certifications: BLS & ACLS
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the CVICU
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health and post-operative care
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
2+ years of acute care experience
Experience with fresh open heart cases such as CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR
Familiarity with equipment including Swan, Flotrack, Temp Pacers, Alines, Chest Tubes, Impella, IABP, and CRRT using prismaflex
Epic charting system experience preferred
Navy blue scrub color
Additional Information
Travelers will float to all ICUs, PACU & ED for ICU holding patients and all IMC units
Patient ratio typically 1:2 but up to 1:3
First-time travelers accepted
COVID-19 Vaccine not required
