The Family Day Care Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Family Day Care Program. Ensure compliance with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), Department of Education (DOE), Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Children's Aid and Family Service (CAFS) regulations and policies. Oversee entire program for fiscal, integrity and quality.
To ensure that the program operates and conforms to the requirements and expectations of state agencies, CAFS and Seven Hills Foundation.
To ensure that the program provides high quality services to children, including physical, emotional, educational, developmental and nutritional aspects of the child’s experience.
To ensure that the program provides quality support, social services and referrals to families.
To ensure that the program works closely and effectively with the staff of DEEC, DCF and DOE by maintaining continued contact.
Act as liaison between DCF supportive parents, DCF social workers and FDC providers.
Maintain staffing, fiscal performance, utilization, equipment and the facility.
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or related field.
A commitment and interest in working with young children and their families in a family child care setting.
Ability to relate positively to children and adults
Organizational skills with an ability to follow through on tasks are a must.
Strong knowledge of DCF support services, DEEC waitlist & regulations and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Massachusetts driver's license required.
