Position Summary: The graduate enrollment marketing manager is part of UMC, bridging that office and the Office of Graduate Admissions and North Park Theological Seminary. The role's primary responsibility is to develop and implement marketing initiatives that drive graduate-level enrollment. The graduate enrollment marketing manager will project manage these initiatives and contribute copywriting and editing. Secondarily, the role involves vendor relationship management and requires a familiarity with North Park's editorial and branding style guides.
 
Essential Responsibilities
Partners with the Office of Graduate Admissions and North Park Theological Seminary to develop and implement strategic communications for the university’s admissions audiences which include prospective students, educators, and other influencers.
Manages the relationships between UMC and vendors, editing materials as needed in accordance with North Park’s editorial and branding guidelines.
Participates in writing and editing recruiting materials.
Serves as the project manager for marketing tactics—including but not limited to postcards, emails, ads, and web—ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Provides creative briefs for the in-house creative team, facilitating the various levels of the approval process.
Participates in the ongoing review of admissions-related webpages, working with the communications team to ensure content is up-to-date, appropriate, and engaging for targeted audiences.
Facilitates communication across departments for new program launches, admissions initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
Become an expert on the customer relationship management communications flow content that prospective graduate students receive.
Share communications flow content updates to the Enrollment Systems Operations department, so that the department can update the customer relationship management tool.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in advertising, public relations, marketing, communications, or a similar field (or equivalent experience) required.
Ability to communicate effectively, via verbal and written methods, with both technical and non-technical personnel
Broad knowledge and experience in Excel, Word, and project management software
Expertise in organization and management of time, people, projects, and resources
Team player with professional demeanor and customer service abilities
Persuasive communication skills and an ability to negotiate
Ability to handle multiple projects at once, with a built-in sense for what should be prioritized
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work with minimal supervision
Personal commitment to North Park University’s mission of Christian higher education
