POSITION SUMMARY
The Jacuzzi Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Manager responsible for effectively planning, directing and coordinating all activities of product distribution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain close supervision over incoming and outgoing shipments of raw materials and finished goods
Develop and implement strategies to improve distribution operations, minimize costs, and increase efficiency.
Manage and oversee all aspects of the distribution process, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation logistics.
Utilize Lean and Six Sigma standards for distribution efficiencies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and ensure adequate inventory, equipment and personnel levels.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate distribution performance and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in the distribution industry.
Manage vendor relationships including third party distribution, inbound and outbound shipping contracts. Negotiate pricing and contracts for transportation services as needed.
Develop and implement training programs for distribution staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Motivate department employees, encouraging optimum productivity. Assist, advise and expedite procedures to resolve conflict. Maintain ongoing and scheduled employee appraisals, including wage consideration, promotions and job transfers
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline distribution operations and reduce costs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred
A.P.I.C.S. certification is a plus!
Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution management or a similar role.
Proven track record of successfully managing distribution operations and optimizing supply chain processes.
Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the distribution industry.
Benefits
Annual Pay: $85,000+ (Depending on experience)
