Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Specialist to join our team, overseeing responsibilities related to both Accounts Payable and Receivable. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining precise financial records, managing vendor and customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient processing of payments and receipts.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Process and record accounts payable transactions promptly, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies, and foster positive relationships with vendors.
Monitor and manage payment terms, discounts, and credit terms to optimize cash flow.
Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Accounts Receivable:
Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Record and reconcile customer payments, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions.
Follow up on overdue payments, collaborating with the sales team to resolve billing or payment issues.
Manage customer credit limits and terms to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
General Financial Support:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
