Position Overview
This position is an opportunity for you to join an exciting global nonprofit that is taking on some of the biggest problems facing humanity and improving communities all over the world. In this role, you will lead department operations and support annual conventions and meetings.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all department operations by developing schedules, monitoring work, and implementing productivity standards
* Manages all aspects of meeting and event planning, scheduling, and the allocation of space
* Ensures necessary on-site equipment at meeting locations and supports audiovisual needs for staff and attendees
* Work closely with Convention venues to oversee food/beverage outlets during events
* Develops relationships with external vendors and suppliers
* Maintains information systems related to meeting and event planning
* Asist in the hiring and training of logistics team members
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in a related field
* 5+ years of experience in a related field
* Proven success at planning large events
* Project management experience
* CMP, CMM, or PMP certifications Compensation
* $85,000 105,000 (commensurate with experience)
