DBA - Database Administrator - (with AWS)

Database Administrator - Cyprus or Greece (Hybrid / Full Time)

Main requirements:

* BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other relevant field

* Solid experience of over 3 years in PostgreSQL / Redshift and/or MSSQL

* Knowledge of MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB / DocumentDB, or DynamoDB is considered a plus

* Strong knowledge of AWS RDS and AWS non-RDS databases

* Knowledge of other cloud environments (Azure, Oracle Cloud, Mongodb Atlas) is considered a plus

* Good knowledge of Terraform Clear understanding of high-availability technologies in databases

* Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL statements Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows systems

* Proficiency in writing Shell scripts

* Good understanding of DB tuning

* Strong troubleshooting skills

* Ability to proactively identify areas that need updates, security improvements, or planned maintenance

* Ability to communicate effectively

The main responsibilities of the position include:

* Manage databases on premises as well as on cloud: daily support, performance improvements, backups, and replication

* Handle migration of large data sets between databases

* Provide technical direction and guidance on DB configuration

* Effectively collaborate with all departments to achieve operational and project goals

* Work with information security team to maintain security and manage access rights and compliance of the databases

* Recommend and implement emerging database technologies

* English skills required - Greek not necessary
