We are currently recruiting for a Sales Team Manager to be responsible for developing a high-performing sales team covering the Yorkshire / North East region, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and growth. This role will Report into the Branch Manager
• Establish appropriate tactics to achieve the team's market share, profit and other key aims for sales in a defined area.
• Contribute to the company's knowledge of the marketplace.
• Monitor and review their team's customer contact strategy through internal systems
• Coach and motivate of sales team to achieve sales-related targets and key indicators.
• Manage discount levels and activity of their team.
• Develop team to maximum potential.
• Be responsible for the health, safety and well-being of their team.
• Developing strategies to promote the company's products and services.
• Hiring, training and motivating sales teams.
• Preparing sales forecasts, and establishing sales goals for the Area Sales Managers.
• Collaborating with customers to identify their needs and improve results.
• Establishing best practices and enforcing compliance.
• Performing market research and collecting customer feedback to improve service delivery.
• Evaluating performance, compiling sales reports and submitting them to senior management.
Essential Skills
• Demonstrates the capability to coach and manage a regional sales team
• Ability to understand the commercial implications of their actions
• Results-oriented, customer-focused, enthusiastic and proactive
• A minimum of 5 years of Materials Handling/ Capital Equipment sales ideally within the Fork Lift Industry.
• Strong new business development skills.
• Personable – ability to build strong relationships.
• Strong presentation and customer-facing skills (written and verbal presentations, equipment demonstration, price negotiation and objection handling).
• Commercial acumen (need identification, market awareness, competitor awareness).
• Solution sales ability.
• Numerically competent.
• IT skills (Microsoft Office, email etc.).
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to absorb client information and communicate features and benefits to customers.
The Benefits
Hours of Work Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week but may be more to fulfil the job requirements.
