What does the role involve?
EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading, growing engineering company that manufactures small to medium-sized precision components for a number of high-profile industry sectors such as Motorsport & Automotive and Defence.
As a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator you will play an integral part of the business by supporting the logistics and shipping team to ensure parts are delivered on time and in full.
Responsibilities will include;
* Talk to freight forwarders to manage incoming and outgoing freight
* Support delivery performance to ensure best practices are being followed
* Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure deliveries are made on time
* Update order management systems
* Prepare all relevant documentation required
* Manage all associated shipping paperwork
* Support the Shipping & Logistics Team in a variety of different work

Experience and skills required for the role include;
* Minimum 3 years experience of working in a similar role where supply chain and logistics is key
* Engineering background within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence or similar manufacturing markets
* Ability to multi task and deal with changing demands
* High attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects
* Proficient in Microsoft Packages
