About The Role
 Nisbets has an exciting opportunity to join our Sales Team as a Business Development Executive.
 
As a Business Development Executive at Nisbets you will supporting our largest and highest profile customers with all matters relating to an order, be that time to deliver, stock availability and alternatives or incorrect goods received. Working as a Business Development Executive at Nisbets, you will have a 2 week induction to ensure you are fully familiar with our key systems and processes, and you will then be gradually introduced to the different aspects of the role, at a pace that suits you, we want to set you up for success. You will join a team of just under 50 colleagues, so there will be plenty of support and a lively atmosphere that will help nurture your development as you learn the skills of the job from your peers, your buddy and your line manager. This is a great role for a Business Development Executive who is looking to work for a market leading business who can offer a great range of career paths.
 
We fully support a hybrid working model after a period of training and are happy to discuss a working pattern that suits your needs, but we do expect you to be office based for 3 days a week.

What will I be doing as a Business Development Executive?

Manages a portfolio of customers remotely by phone, maximising revenue, share of wallet and profit by building relationships, following up leads and identifying & closes opportunities.
 Works collaboratively with Contact Centre, Sales Support Teams, Retail Stores and Field Sales network to drive revenue and provide market leading customer experience.
Achieves (or exceeds) sales and margin targets and activity metrics.
Uses available reporting tools to identify gaps within customer purchasing and purchasing trends to drive key sales metrics (AOF & AOV) and improve share of wallet.
Takes ownership of large orders & opportunities, ensuring they are delivered within set timeframes and customer expectations are at least met, preferably exceeded.
Communicates effectively with all levels across the business, especially line manager & sales leads.

About You
What are we looking for in a Business Development Executive?

Proven background of Internal Account Management & Outbound Calling, and demonstrable experience in using sales processes (questioning, negotiation & closing) to exceed sales & margin targets.
Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
General level of education, GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Good command of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, P/P, Outlook)
Experience of using data to identify spend gaps and drive key sales metrics.
Demonstrable examples of building rapport with customers
Significant experience of working to achieve individual targets, but also working collaboratively to achieve team targets.
Willingness to develop and be open to learning new skills.
