As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. This is a key role within our organization, requiring strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

* Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and on time

* Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy, inputting them into the payroll system

* Calculate and process allowances and deductions, including taxes, pensions, sick leave, holidays, maternity/paternity leave and other benefits

* Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients

* Ensure compliance with payroll and pensions regulations

* Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system

* Assist with year-end payroll activities, including P60's, P11D's and final submissions

* Respond to client queries regarding payroll matters

* Posting payroll journals and reconciling liabilities related to payroll/pensions.

The role is not limited to payroll you may be required to help in bookkeeping as well.

Experience:

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration.

* Bookkeeping experience is preferable.

* Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices, including auto-enrolment

* Proficient in using payroll software and systems, preferably Brightpay, Moneysoft

* Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy

* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

* Ability to analyse complex payroll data and resolve discrepancies

* Part Qualified ACCA/ AAT (preferred)

* Strong attention to detail
