GCSE Maths Lecturer
Think FE is excited to be working with a well established and growing college in the North East to find a talented and committed Maths lecturer to deliver GCSE Maths to re-sit students within the college.
Salary: £28,419 - £41,874 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week
Location: North Yorkshire
Start date: End of August
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver GCSE Maths lessons to students who are attending the college and studying other courses. The students will be re-sitting Maths, so the role needs a teacher who has patience and can make lessons exciting for those who don’t necessarily have a natural aptitude for the subject.
You will also be happy to teach foundation and functional skills maths
Develop and implement lesson plans, resources, and assessments.
Encourage student engagement and academic achievement.
Contribute to staff development and departmental initiatives. Requirements:
A degree in Mathematics or equivalent
Hold a PGCE qualification or an equivalent Teaching Qualification.
Someone passionate about the subject and keeps up to date with subject knowledge
Someone who has experience and has good classroom management What's on Offer?
