Job Title: Asbestos Laboratory Analyst
Location: Basildon, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + Benefits

We are working closely with a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who are recruiting for an independent and diligent Asbestos Laboratory Analyst to join their dedicated team in Essex. You will be joining a friendly team in a busy laboratory, carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy, ensuring to produce detailed reports to clients in a timely manner alongside liaising with clients. For the successful candidate, our client can offer training into further P cert modules, company pension scheme, and an excellent holiday package.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Billericay, Wickford, South Benfleet, Brentwood, Canvey Island, Rayleigh, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Dartford, Southend-on-Sea, Romford, Hockley, Tilbury.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Will have experience working hands on in a busy UKAS accredited laboratory for an established Asbestos Consultancy.
" Excellent observational skills.
" Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
" Excellent communication skills.
" Able to work well as a team and independently.

Working in a busy UKAS accredited laboratory carrying out the following duties:
" Ensuring all samples are logged onto the internal systems in a timely manner.
" Ensuring to safely store and label samples.
" Preparing samples for analysis.
" Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out sample analysis.
" Undertaking routine quality checks.
" Calibrating equipment and ensuring that the laboratory is clean.
" Filling out job sheets upon completion of analysis, returning to clients in line with agreed timeframe.
" Providing clients with excellent technical support when required.
" Working in line with relevant Health and Safety legislations.
