Functieomschrijving
You will become a member of the Thin-Film Electronics team with the aim of developing and implementing the department's program and project portfolio, capitalizing on the department's expertise in panel-level process technology and related fields. Your daily tasks will be diverse as you join a multidisciplinary team, located at two sites, engaged in concurrent projects with corporate partners and European consortia. Technically, your responsibilities will involve cleanroom processing of R&D samples and functional prototype devices, followed by an analysis of functional specifications. Part of your time will be dedicated to maintaining the cleanroom facilities of TNO at Holst Centre.
With several years of hands-on experience in process engineering within cleanroom and R&D environments, you ideally possess a background in chip packaging and/or thin film technologies and their application in functional devices. Your collaboration will extend to close coordination with colleagues in the Thin-Film Electronics team and particularly with the cleanroom engineering team.
Your key tasks will include:
• Developing new processes and integrated process flows for achieving functional chip packages; testing and analyzing the developed process flows against functional specifications.
• Supporting technical program roadmaps and projects from both process engineering and equipment engineering perspectives.
• Collaborating closely with team members to ensure alignment on requirements and process development.
• Supporting the validation of developed prototypes.
Functie-eisenBachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering Physics, Chemistry, Nanoscience, or a related field with a strong interest in chip packaging and thin-film technology.
• 3+ years of experience in technology development, preferably in a cleanroom using (thin-film) processing technologies like electro(less) plating, photolithography, and patterning of functional films, including related surface treatments.
• Experience with electrical characterization of electronic devices, using tools such as a probe station, is beneficial.
• Focus primarily on lab work, especially in a cleanroom setting.
