Job Title: Sustainability Manager

They are passionate about sustainability and are committed to integrating sustainable practices throughout their operations.
Job Overview: Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability and environmental practices, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business and with external stakeholders. This role is crucial in developing and implementing a sustainability strategy that aligns with the company's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy in alignment with company goals.
* Lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives and projects across various departments.
* Conduct research and analysis on the latest sustainability trends and best practices.
* Prepare detailed reports on the progress of sustainability efforts and present findings to senior management.
* Engage with external stakeholders on sustainability issues and initiatives.
* Develop and manage budgets for sustainability projects and initiatives.
* Maintain awareness of new legislation and regulations related to sustainability.
* Ensure timely submission of information onto sustainability platforms such as Manufacture 2030 and the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Key Requirements:
* Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business and externally.
* Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Experience with environmental reporting systems and other sustainability reporting tools.
* Degree qualification, ideally in Sustainability or a related discipline.
* 2-4 years of experience in a sustainability/environmental role.
* Flexible approach to hours required to achieve business objectives.
