Kelly Services are on the lookout for an Accounts Semi Senior / Senior to join their client on a permanent basis position in Eastwood, Nottingham.
Salary - £26,000 - £32,000 depending on experience (pro rata)
Hours - Full time and part time hours considered
The Role
To prepare annual accounts from incomplete records and to draft tax computations and tax returns primarily for limited companies, to also include sole traders and partnerships. Day to day responsibilities include:
Preparation of annual accounts and tax returns for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Preparation of management accounts when required.
Preparation of client's VAT returns from incomplete records, to include all associated bookkeeping and reconciliation work when required.
Preparation of draft tax computations and tax returns arising from the annual accounts for both the Ltd company and individuals self assessment.
Various ad hoc projects, as necessary.
About You
To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will have working experience within an accounting practice with accounts incomplete records as well as experience of preparing statutory limited company accounts and corporation tax computations and returns. Key skills required for the role also include:
Good knowledge of accounting procedures and legislation.
Good grounding in personal tax and corporate tax.
Good knowledge of VAT rules and compliance.
Experience of supporting clients using computerised accounting software such as Sage, Xreo and QuickBooks both on site and over the telephone to process clients' bookkeeping, VAT and journal entries and to resolve queries.
It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have experience of Capital Gains Tax and use of IRIS.
