Overview
Atkins Search are currently recruiting for a Senior CAD Technician on behalf of our client based in Derby. They are an established engineering consultancy who have gained an excellent reputation over their 20 plus years in the business.

Established and respected for the services that they deliver to their clients, they work on projects varying in size across power, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
They pride themselves on the level of repeat business that they receive from their key clients and the relationships they have built over the years.
The business has been experiencing sustained growth over the past few years and due to an increase in projects, they feel that this is the right time to take on a Senior CAD Technician to join the team and take a leading role in the production of high quality engineering drawings.
Role
Working as a part of the drawing office, directly under the drawing office manager, you will be a key member of this team taking a lead role in the production engineering drawings using CAD. Part of this role will be mentoring the more junior members of the team, sharing your knowledge and helping them to progress their professional knowledge.
You will be working across a wide range of projects within power, industrial and infrastructure works giving an interesting variety to the drawings that you will be producing.
Responsibilities
* Mentoring junior members of the team, supporting with their development.
* Producing high quality CAD drawings.
* Liaising with engineers in the business to understand project requirements.
* Working closely with all teams in the business to meet project deadlines.
* Taking a lead on projects as a Senior CAD Technician.
Person
* Experienced in using CAD within an engineering consultancy.
* Comfortable leading a small team.
* Excellent communicator at all levels.
Remuneration
£40,000-£50,000 plus comprehensive benefits package
