Today, I'm highlighting the pivotal role of the Supply Chain Analyst for my client who are a Pioneering PS Products Leader. Nestled within the ranks and reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, these analytical aces are the ones who keep the gears turning smoothly. Their mission? To dissect and comprehend the complex world of inventory and supply chain logistics.

Reporting to their Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for analysis of Inventory and the supply chain.

The role & responsibilities

The supply chain Analyst will review inventory data improve efficiency within the supply chain ensuring availability and flexibility of inventory into production.

* Analysis of production components to determine usage and Safety stock levels.

* Work with suppliers and supply chain manager to determine Minimum order quantities.

* Liaise with Materials production scheduler on project work to ensure components are always available into production.

* Analysis of spare parts for both industrial and retail sectors of the business to determine correct inventory holding based on repair rate, top 10 failures etc.

* Liaise with Japan on safe stock levels relating to sub-assemblies.

* Work alongside production and production engineer to determine production efficiencies, Kan Ban stock & JIT methodologies.

* Liaise with Technical departments on New Product Implementation (NPI) to determine Safe stock levels best purchase price etc.

* Identify and separate service stock V production stock.

* Introduction of automated MRP and exception reporting

* Work with Supply chain manager and finance department to understand the financial status of new and current suppliers.

* Investigate production shortages and apply corrective actions to avoid repeatability.

* Collate data from order horizon and apply sourcing actions to avoid potential delays in production builds.

* Review inventory levels and apply corrective actions to support cost saving and stock efficiency.

Essential Skills Required

* Supply chain knowledge, including forecast, inventory, orders, service levels

* Able to analyse large amounts of information and deliver clear outcomes/recommendations

* High attention to detail, Effective decision maker

* Effective communicator both written and verbal

* Exceptional to advanced knowledge and working practice in Excel.

* High exposure and working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Navision, SAP, JD Edwards..).
