Our client is currently looking for an experienced Estate Gardener with good plant and tree knowledge. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business as an Estate Gardener for a high-profile private client on a prestigious estate. The estate comprises extensive high-end formal gardens, parklands, waterways and features, woodlands and leisure facilities. It would be preferred if the candidate had a recognised horticultural qualification, but this is not essential.

Training in the ways of good horticultural practice will be provided on the job. The candidate should have strong experience of high-end gardening, with private estate team work preferred. Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

Horticulture

• All aspects of horticulture; specialised and more general

• All aspects of lawn care

• Chemical applications and record keeping (PA1 & PA6 required) – subject to training and supervision as required

• Ground clearance and seasonal work

• Sweeping and maintenance of hard surfaces / furniture within the gardens

• Tending to borders and lawns

• Specialised pruning and trimming

• Care of artificial tennis court - under instruction

• Maintenance of waterways, lakes and stream, irrigation system

• Safe operation of machinery subject to training As well as good horticultural ability the candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills / qualities:
