Electrical Engineer's Assistant (Driver Mate)

Salary: £26,026

Location: Rochester

Join our reputable and growing maintenance and installation business, specialising in working at height safety and BMU maintenance. We're expanding our team and seeking a dedicated individual to assist our engineers as an Electrical Engineer's Assistant.

Responsibilities:

* Work alongside lead engineers in a 2-person team to install, maintain, and repair various permanent access equipment and fall protection systems.

* Install and upkeep permanent access equipment, including WAH systems like fall restraint and fall arrest safety wire systems, fixed access ladders, handrail systems, gantries, and walkways.

* Opportunity to assist BMU engineers in maintaining, repairing, and testing Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) on client sites.

* Travel within the Southeast, primarily focusing on London and the M25 area, to job locations.

* Meet lead engineers at designated points and travel to job sites in a company vehicle.

Benefits:

* Monday to Friday schedule, with a 3pm finish on Fridays.

Essential Skills:

* Electrical Experience

* Adherence to strict safety protocols and ability to follow instructions.

* Reliability and strong organisational skills.

* Effective communication abilities.

* Practical orientation and capability to work at heights.

* Numeracy and literacy with keen attention to detail.

* Flexibility and positive attitude towards occasional working away from home.

* Full Clean Driving License.

* Team collaboration skills.

* Ability to perform well under pressure.

Desirable Qualifications:

* Experience in the Work at Height industry.

* Previous roles in similar industries (e.g., LOLER inspections, BMUs, eyebolts, safety wire systems, guardrails).

* Mechanical or electrical Engineering experience.
