Trainee Accountant

Trainee Accountant required. My client is a well-established accountancy practice with a number of offices in the South of England. Due to recent growth, they are seeking for a Trainee Accountant to join their Plymouth office.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to being your career in accountancy at an incredibly friendly company. Many of their Directors/Partners also began their career as a trainee with my client and have stayed with them throughout their working life.

Trainee Accountant Position Overview

My client will fund your training and provide you with paid study leave to attend courses
Prepare financial statements and tax compliance work
Visit clients' premises to carry out your role
Work within a team and undertake projects on your own

As the role requires the ability to study for exams, my client is looking for someone with a strong track record in obtaining qualifications - strong GCSE, A-Levels (or equivalent) and a Degree Qualification. However, other academic history is acceptable.

Trainee Accountant Position Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail
Confident speaking to new people - clients and colleagues
A good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Be able to take initiative, work to deadlines and prioritise work
A highly organised individual
Strong interest in Audit

The successful candidate will undertake both practical and theoretical training while studying towards your ACA qualification under an apprenticeship agreement.

Trainee Accountant Position Remuneration

Starting salary from £23,000+ (DOE)
Flexible and hybrid working available
20 days holiday + bank holidays - increasing to 25 days after 3 years' of service
