Frontend Developer - React/Typescript

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the design team at a global manufacturing company, building and iterating on UI components in a pattern library and driving the integration of these components into software products as well as generalist software engineering work.

As Frontend Developer you will maintain, develop, and enhance a UI and UX Style guide and Pattern Library that allows internal and external software partners to build a consistent, coherent user experience across a suite of 3D printing software products.

This role is part of a platform API team, with all activity being done as part of that collaborative team environment utilising agile and scrum including peer reviews of all work output.

Hours of Work: Full time, Hybrid working available.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Frontend Developer:

* Implement new and extended UI components.

* Collaborate with the design team to build and maintain a style guide and pattern library.

* Collaborate with teams building software products to drive the adoption of the style guide and to keep products up to date with style guide changes.

* Contribute to regular retrospectives to continuously improve process and execution.

What you will need to succeed as Frontend Developer:

Essential:

* Strong experience with front end web development, with HTML, CSS and a modern frontend framework.

* Proven experience with React and TypeScript.

Desirable:

* Experience with a 3D graphics framework such as Three.js

* Capable of making well-informed UI/UX decisions based on project requirements and target audience preferences

* Experience with Node.js

* Experience with Electron or other frameworks for using web frontends in desktop applications.

* Experience with 3D printers, CNC mills, or other manufacturing processes

* Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience
