As a Disability Assessor, you will play a crucial role in conducting consultations with Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit claimants, either over the phone or face-to-face. All appointments are pre-arranged, so you won't have to worry about administrative tasks. You'll interact with individuals who have a range of complex conditions, including physical disabilities, mental health issues, cognitive impairments, and sensory disorders. Your responsibilities include performing comprehensive functional medical assessments to understand how these disabilities or conditions affect the claimants. After each assessment, you will write and submit detailed reports using a specialised IT system. This position allows you to apply your medical expertise and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people you assess, within a structured and supportive environment.

What We Need from You:

Full HCPC/NMC registration
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure

You will be supported through the application process by an experienced recruitment consultant, who will answer all questions and ensure this job matches what you need. During the process the consultant will guide, coach and prep you for stages and also be your support network.
If successful upon interview you will start on-boarding in which your consultant will be on hand to offer advice and answer queries.
The role when starting will involve a 2-day induction, then you'll embark on a 5-week comprehensive home-based training program, then transition to an engaging hybrid working model with exceptional support along the way.
