Structural Engineer

We're currently seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our client's team at Stockton on Tees.

This full-time hybrid role offers the flexibility of some remote work.

Key Responsibilities

The Structural Engineer would work in an operational role in relation to undertaking the structural design work using suitable structural software and working in conjunction with BIM REVIT Structure Technicians.
The Structural Engineer will also work in conjunction to the project Civil, MEP and Geotechnical Professional Engineers of grades from Graduate to Principal Engineer and the associated Senior to Junior BIM REVIT Technicians.
The Structural Engineer will support the Senior Structural Engineers in coordinating and interfacing with the Engineers and Architects and Architectural Technicians of other design disciplines.
The Structural Engineer will report to the Senior Structural Engineer on the project, who will work closely with the Principal Structural Engineer to ensure compliance with the client's technical project requirements, contribute to client liaisons in relation to day-to-day structural engineering issues and with have design responsibility for certain parts of the structural design works on the project.
They will also be responsible for advising the Senior Structural Engineer in administering the structural design aspects of the contract in a technical capacity.
The Structural Engineer will generally be responsible for day-to-day engineering design support and technical mentoring of the Assistant and Graduate Engineers on equivalent junior structural technicians on the project.
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the producing and reviewing certain aspects of the structural engineering design work, structural specifications design calculations and design packages in accordance with Company Business Management Systems/protocols and Structural Technical Reference Manuals, as delegated by or instructed by the Senior Structural Engineer as required.
The Structural Engineer will also have a working knowledge of REVIT Structure in a manner which the structural design produced by Company structural software packages can be coordinated and integrated into Company REVIT Structures models.

Qualifications

Candidates should be degree qualified in Civil and Structural Engineering with a view to be working towards Chartered Engineer status
