Site Services Technician

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Site Services Technician to join our successful client based in the Cardiff area.

Role: Site Services Technician

Role Objective: Manage and maintain the site Portable Appliance Test compliance schedule. Support the Site Services team by completing assigned Helpdesk tasks timely and carrying out regular test, inspection, and maintenance activities to ensure the facility complies with health and safety standards and working practices.

Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30 and Friday 07:30 - 12:15

Hourly Rate: £14.14 per hour

Site Services Technician - Key Responsibilities:

* Provide first-line response for site preventative and breakdown maintenance.

* Perform fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment.

* Install electrical plant equipment.

* Conduct non-electrical duties such as general maintenance and repairs of building facilities.

* Support the maintenance of statutory compliance schedules, including Portable Appliance Testing for Production and Engineering, and HAV testing of power tools.

* Site Services Technician - Skills & Experience Required:

Essential Requirements:

* Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field.

* ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.

* Inspection and Testing certificate.

Desirable Requirements:

* 18th Edition EIT Wiring regulations.

* Practical experience in mechanical and general building maintenance.

Competencies Required:

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

* Excellent organization and time management skills.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Specifications:

* Fork truck license is advantageous.
