Chemistry Laboratory Manager
Templarfox are working with an innovative and fast growing CRO in the Derbyshire area, who are looking to appoint a Chemistry Laboratory Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will be accountable for the team of chemists for GMP batch release testing.
Role & Responsibilities
* Manage team members effectively. Ensure team are trained to the level required to support safe, effective GMP operation. Provision of coaching, guidance and development to meet their personal and business needs, supporting the development of the department succession plans
* Ensure EHS compliance by operating safe systems of work, including Permit to Work, Hazard Review and Risk Assessment.
* Lead and resolve technical challenges and out of specification results for HPLC, GC, Dissolution
* Lead method validation and develop skills and experience within the function.
* Client facing, updating projects and delivery and supporting new projects with proposal/quotes
* Understanding of budgets and financial targets
* Motivate, Plan team delivery and meet customer needs
Qualifications And Experience
* Science Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent experience
* A minimum of three years’ experience working in a GMP leadership role
* Strong evidence of practical experience in HPLC, GC or Dissolution within GMP pharmaceutical testing environment
* Understanding of MHRA, ICH guidelines for pharmaceutical laboratory batch release process
* Experience of working in a customer facing role (customer interactions)
* Experience of interacting directly with Regulatory Agency or customer audits and site visits
