Remediation Construction Management - Landfill

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Remediation Engineer for employment in our Chelmsford, MA or Providence, RI office. In this role, you will perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer with this office and partner offices throughout the Northeast. This position would support the Environmental business line, primarily working on CERCLA and Department of Defense (DoD) projects.
Responsibilities of this position, include the following:
Serve as task lead for remediation activities including field oversight of remediation construction (e.g., landfill construction/capping, excavation, air monitoring), remedial design, review and reporting
Monitor field QA/QC procedures and development of QA/QC manuals
Gather and correlate engineering and scientific data using established and well-defined procedures
Prepare technical work plans and reports
Perform unsupervised field tasks
Review analytical data for general indicators of quality for routine analyses based on well-defined guidelines
Coordinate with task and project managers, work with on-site subcontractors and field staff, support environmental sampling, data collection, and field documentation.
Understand hazard recognition during environmental investigation and remediation activities
Travel to various job sites within the US
