A thriving manufacturing and retail company is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting. This role offers a hybrid work setup, with three days spent in-office and two days remotely.
Duties:
Assist in the external financial reporting process, crafting financial statements and disclosures required by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) like Form 10-Qs, Form 10-Ks, and Form 8-Ks.
Support the annual financial audit process with external auditors.
Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, coordinating audit activities with external auditors annually and quarterly.
Develop accurate workpapers to support SEC filings.
Review the XBRL taxonomy for Form 10-Q and 10-K.
Maintain adherence to accounting and reporting deadlines.
Stay informed on accounting and regulatory updates, evaluating their potential impact on financial statements.
Aid in month-end close and operational accounting tasks such as lease and debt accounting.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners.
Identify avenues for process enhancement to improve SEC and financial reporting efficiency.
Assist with ad-hoc tasks, special projects, and reporting needs.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
At least 3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or relevant corporate accounting preferred).
CPA or Masters Degree is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with a diligent approach to tasks.
Familiarity with financial accounting systems, Intacct knowledge is beneficial.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office is essential.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a startup mentality.
Ability to work independently and methodically.
Willingness to drive and embrace process enhancements.
