Position: Associate Director Pharmacy Operations
Location: Louisville, KY (Hybrid, on site minimum 3 days per week)
Salary: $150k  - $180k
Responsibilities:
Overseeing Pharmacy Operations:
- Direct the daily operations of both frontend and backend pharmacy functions.
- Innovate and refine operational processes for continuous improvement.
- Ensure operational efficiency while upholding quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement and implement corresponding strategies.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills.
- Develop tools for effective workforce management and staffing optimization.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues promptly.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the pharmacy.
- Contribute to organizational goal-setting related to pharmaceutical services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the pharmacy budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.
- Oversee inventory management and other financial aspects of pharmacy operations.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain processes for ensuring the accuracy and safety of pharmaceutical services.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational quality.
- Utilize performance metrics to monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaboration:
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the main point of contact for pharmacy operations.
- Facilitate communication between pharmacy and other operational teams.
- Lead the implementation of new business opportunities and provide feedback for improvement.
Technology Utilization:
- Stay informed about pharmacy management software and technology.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to streamline operations.
- Ensure effective utilization of pharmacy management systems and software tools.

Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy or a related field (PharmD preferred).
- Possess at least 7 years of relevant experience in pharmacy operations management.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- Maintain a current, unrestricted KY Pharmacist License.
- Previous experience in personnel or team management is essential.
- Additional state licensure is desirable.
- Preference for candidates with experience in retail, hospital, or high-volume/mail-order pharmacy settings.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards is required.
*Flexibility to travel (minimal) as needed is also important.
