Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the accounts receivable process efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Generate and send out invoices to customers.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of payments.
Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers regarding payment status.
Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
Prepare aging reports and other financial reports related to accounts receivable.
Work closely with the sales team to resolve customer inquiries and issues.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts receivable transactions.
Assist with month-end closing processes as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to accounts receivable.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Experience with customer relationship management and collections software is a plus.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to accounts receivable.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
