Talent Vision, a leading Staffing and Consulting Firm, is collaborating with a reputable charter school in Rochester, NY, to fill the position of Middle School Math Teacher. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for middle school students. Your passion for mathematics and dedication to student success will be key in helping students develop a solid foundation in math.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
Deliver instruction in middle school math concepts, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and statistics.
Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to support student learning and foster critical thinking skills.
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
Valid teaching certification in math for middle school is required.
Prior teaching experience, specifically in math instruction, is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of middle school math curriculum and instructional strategies.
Passion for teaching and deep understanding of math concepts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and respond to changing circumstances.
Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction.
