URGENTLY HIRING - TRAVEL SURGICAL TECHNOLOGISTS IN SUFFOLK, VA AND VIRGINIA BEACH, VA
Are you a skilled Surgical Technologist ready for an exciting opportunity? We are urgently hiring in Suffolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA, and offering a comprehensive compensation package with benefits.
Qualifications:
* Current CST Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and/or Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
* 1-2 years of experience
* BLS Certification (Check expiration date) - American Heart Association
* Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities - As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
* Efficiently and effectively assisting physicians with operative procedures.
* Anticipating surgeon/physicians needs both in preparing for procedures and during procedures.
* Demonstrating knowledge of specific responsibilities in all emergency situations.
* Ensuring the sterility of all supplies and instruments during the setup of surgical procedures.
* Handling instruments in a manner that prolongs the "life" of the instrument.
* Assisting circulating nurses and the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment.
* Transporting all surgical equipment to appropriate cleaning areas and assisting in sterile supply with cleaning and reprocessing of instrument sets.
* Interacting appropriately and effectively with all patients/others, regardless of age or ethnic background.
* Using Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and safe practices to ensure personal safety and a safe environment.
* Assisting with environmental hazard and infection control surveillance and participating in emergency preparedness drills.
* Following all equipment and safety guidelines and taking responsibility for the knowledgeable use and care of equipment.
* Maintaining designated certifications such as CPR, as offered by the center.
