Job Description
The Applications Engineer is the primary interface between the client and INFICON FabTime software and must reflect our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. You are responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship and for resolving/escalating any tickets/concerns encountered. You will work with a broad range of client stakeholders on customer request tickets as well as with other members of the INFICON IMS team as needed. In this role you will develop PLSQL code to support client change tickets, test client requested application changes, and meet project budget and timelines. You will also have the opportunity to participate in data warehouse development as well as advanced data analysis, data science and analytics as you have time.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, attention to detail, have basic knowledge of SQL and a desire to become an expert in PL-SQL and software development. Prior experience managing software development projects is a plus. Willingness to learn the semiconductor industry, work with fellow team members and with clients, and adapt to changes is required.
Responsibilities
Represent INFICON FabTime to your clients in frequent remote calls.
Lead the entire project life cycle by developing and maintaining the schedule to meet project goals, defining clear deliverables, determining what expertise is required, and producing estimates of program/project requirements based on changing client needs.
Work closely with other members of the FabTime apps engineering team including frequent communication with Program Manager and Commercial Manager for your clients.
Work closely with the FabTime software development team including providing feedback on applications, communicating new feature requests, performing QA for new versions, and managing new clients.
Effectively interface with broad range of client stakeholders including operators, process engineers, industrial engineers, Fab managers, and IT.
Develop training material, provide on-site training, and update FabTime Help Site as needed.
Provide support during unscheduled downtime which may require being on call for nights and weekends occasionally.
